Yoga

Yoga is the doctrine that reached us from ancient times and referred to in the most ancient sources. Arguably, the birthplace of yoga is an ancient civilization on Earth - Arctis. However, the oral tradition speaks of much more ancient origins of yoga. This esoteric history of yoga are coming from India deep into the centuries to ancient Egypt, and from there, to even more remote legendary civilizations - Atlantis, Arctis and some others. In the Vedic period (XV of the VI BC) Vedas has appeared in India - the sacred books of the Indian sages, and then appeared comments on them - the Upanishads. Vedas and Upanishads have contributed a lot to the development of philosophical thought in India, creating a number of philosophical schools, one of which is classified and presents the system of yoga. However, yoga, is one of the six traditional systems of Indian philosophy, it is recognized by all these philosophical systems as a general method and practical means of knowing the world.

The main purpose of yoga, which makes it attractive to many people, is not getting sensational results and unexplained phenomena of science, but above all, to have a healthy lifestyle and recovery, and harmonization of natural processes in the human body.

Now yoga is becoming a subject of a close and deep study by Western science. In our country and in others, they have created many specialized research institutes and agencies. Scientists and experts today are still trying to sort out and understand what yoga is and who yoga is. However, it faces several obstacles, as modern scientific methodology does not adequately assess the theoretical foundations of yoga and its practical results.

While scientists are exploring yoga, its practical application is becoming more and more popular among the population of many countries. It becomes available to practice previously hidden teachings and to distribute them among the population, gaining different characteristics depending on the adaptation to different cultures and world views of people of different countries.

The practice of yoga promotes each individual as well as the collectives of people. Now, when there is a tendency to develop self-awareness, the quest for spirituality, the principles of yoga are being introduced into the way people live, helping to develop spiritually. Teaching of yoga is opened to all, and everyone can choose for himself what he should choose.
